Characters

Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor Kenway)

Ratonhnhaké:ton was a Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) who became an assassin to hunt down the Templars who had burned down his village. He met Achilles Davenport, an assassin, who trained him. After meeting Achilles, he adopted the name Connor Kenway.

He was the son of Haytham Kenway, Grand Master of the Templar Order's Colonial Rite. While they remained enemies, they did work together in order to hunt down Benjamin Church who had betrayed both the Continental Army and The Templars.

During his hunt for The Templars he often aided the Colonials during American Revolution, helping historical figures such as George Washington and Paul Revere.

He was also the captain of his ship, The Aquila.

Connor was portrayed by a Native American actor Noah Watts.

Haytham Kenway

Haytham E. Kenway (1725 - 1781) was the first Grand Master of the Templar's Colonel Rite, reigning from 1754 until his death. Haytham was son of the pirate Assassin Edward Kenway and was converted to the Templar cause at a young age by Reginald Birch, after his father had been assassinated by Templars.

Haytham travels to Boston to search for signs of the The First Civilization. Arriving in Boston, he builds a small team of likeminded individuals and goes after the local Redcoats while searching for clues as to where the precursor vault may be. On the way, he befriends a native american woman (Connor's mother) whom he later falls in love with.

Kenway ends up finding the vault, but fails at opening it.

Several years later, Kenway is a grandmaster Templar. He orchestrates and organizes many of the Templars actions in the region and makes sure that everything is going according to plan. Kenway ends up having to team up with his son when a Templar becomes a liability for both the order and the Assassins guild. During the team up, him and Connor begin bonding, Haytham expressing sadness for the death of Connor's mother. Haytham reveals that it was not his order but George Washington who killed the mother of his child at which point Connor severs all ties with both Washington and Haytham.

Haytham turns on Connor and saves Charles Lee's life after Connor tries to assassinate him. Connor has no choice but to kill Haytham. As Haytham dies, he admits that despite the fact that he doesn't approve of the fact that his son is part of the assassin's guild, he's still proud of him.
